I am wondering if we could start at the Yuba river crossing and make it all the way to donwivill and beyond on Diggins I and Diggins II? it looks like there is a short part where we would not be able to due to there being no road to go on other than the public main road. (Besides our national park issue on the Yuba river side)

I'm sure you can, if you broke a few laws...just not sure of the value. Terry and I probed it pretty well one day....and were surrounded by asphalt or deliverance trailers.

There are so many miles of kick ass trails on the Downieville side....not sure it's worth the bother.

That's Diggins I, I think. I have this book...and they call Malakoff Diggins I and Downieville Diggins II (or the way around).

If you look at the TRAIL page....there's a screen shot from my topo map.
