Lowell Hill Rd - Little York Diggins

Postby hemingray » Thu May 10, 2007 10:00 pm

Had some time this afternoon, so I piled the small machine into the truck and went down to the Little York Diggings area - northwest of Dutch Flat near the end of Lowell Hill Rd. Cool area to mess around in - run around the diggings or along the Chicago Park flume. Here's a few pix of the area.

"Trails" run along the power line right-of-way

Steephollow Creek can be followed for a bit. I would rather have another quad along in this area tho...

Fun climbs ("something big, this way came!")

Chicago Park Flume runs thru the area, folks do camp in the area.
Wherever I go, there I am

Nice stuff....it just looks like a fun and relaxing afternoon.
