Suzuki Vinson 500

Postby ash2042 » Wed Jul 28, 2004 11:57 am

My buddy just got a Vinson 500 automatic. It seems like a really nice quad. It was very interesting mounting the winch. It came from the factory with the winch wiring already ran from the front to the rear.

Yes, the vinson has a solid axle and has limited slip front differential(another 3 wheel drive), these are they only down falls I can see, other than ground clearance due to the axle.

Another good feature about the vinson is it comes from the factory with all three lights working at the same time. What I am trying to say is you don't need a headlight modification kit. We're going riding sunday so I guess I will see how it stacks up against the polaris.

My dumbass buddy burried his vinson in mud on the very first ride. he sucked mud into the exhaust. The atv would only go 4 mph on the way home. I have a feeling his atv won't be running to much longer, because he hasn't changed the fluids or anything.

Hey Miyagi I tried to get him to buy a polaris but he liked the suzuki. I think the next time I am riding with him on some rough trails I'll let him try out the polaris and the independent rear suspension. I don't think he knows what he is missing.

I checked Google and couldn't find any for your bike/quad.

I know that I personally have both a ride with Indpt rear suspension as well as a solid axle and I think that they both have their advnatages. I can do some decent things. I rode my indpt suspension for a few hours and then switched and I did not notice a difference. Maybe when I get old like the rest of you though I will feel the difference after a long days ride.
