Eric June, GrizzlyGuy from the board passed away on January 8, 2016. He was a friend to all here, funny, kind and a great resource for mapping and GPS. Eric passed away suddenly in January. He will be missed by many.....no more.....What's Up Fuckers!

Riding around the Bowman area was hard this weekend, I still kept thinking of things that I wanted to check out and report back on with tracks and waypoints. I call the gate on Meadow Lake Road that leads to the English Mountain 'road' "Eric's Gate" because he was interested in access and even went so far as to check with FS guy who was sure it was on federal land. Now there's a SPI gate behind the FS gate - strangeness. I often took pictures of it as I rode by so I could report on its status.

He not only rode up to the NW shoulder, but did the hike to the peak to do his SOTA (ham radio) thing. Wish I could have done that amount of hiking too. Here's a selfie that Eric took up there. There's little Catfish Lake and Jackson Meadows Reservoir beyond it.
