Well, I plan on trying to get out of town by about 3. We may be the first ones up. Ken and I have talked - I'm going to first check if there's a host at the campground, if not, we'll camp there. If there is, I'll see if I can work a deal on the charge. If that fails, I will probably go setup at the dance floor. (For those that have never been or are not familiar with Sierra Trek, if you go past the campground to the next dirt road to the left you can turn down - or go thru the campground - you will come upon a large concrete slab, i.e. the dance floor)

Regardless, just look for a white Chevy 2500 crew cab with ATVOBSESSION sticker in the rear window and a 3 quad aluminum trailer behind it.

Family obligations, like my mom's 87th birthday, dictate that I will only be able to meet you guys for lunch in Washington on Saturday. What time would be a good target time for you guys to be rolling into Washington?

I have to at least get show up points for my 5th Miyagi Ride.

We're here, in the campground. Site #3 which is across from the bathroom and one of the first sites you come to on the right.

im sure you guys passed the big ass motor home on your way out of meadow lake. Well it was our wonderfully polite camp host who's motorhome was broke down. At first i just saw a lady so stopped to help out then i saw him crawl out from under the engine... almost drove away but didnt have it in me. Helped him replace his fuel filters, and cleaned up his air filter. Got him running again after a hour or so. 1 other person stopped as well to help for got his name already but he owns that rock cabin by the cemetery. I made the commit about i cant believe im helping this guy but its not in me to leave some one on the road like that, and he let me know we where the norm and most people disliked his approach to camp ground hosting and he wouldn't be back next year.

We never know what makes people behave the way they do sometimes, but kudos to you for helping the guy out. Sometimes the tiniest things change lives. Maybe you changed his! :-)

I saw that Tuna Boat and wondered who might be out there. Didn't know he was broken down though.

I had a long chat with this same fella Saturday morning... his name was Jerry. Actually a nice guy. But he really isn't gifted in the public relations arena! #-o

Thanks again Mike for picking up the tire! With it being my dads trailer, thought I was gonna have to buy him a new spare.... saved me at least $100, plus being assaulted worse than the trip to Washington!

Didn't know it was broken....When Jack and I passed, there were a couple chairs out front.....and nobody around.

Glad you got him going....that was a BIG BASTARD!!!

The guy is Jeff, from JeffCo Plumbing and Tribal Weaver in Auburn. He is a great guy....and has been to our camp a few times.

Dave...Sorry..I missed this somehow. It's a good thing we didn't give you a time.....it would have been wrong. We had a lot of riders....15+...I forget. What we INTENDED to do, was go Bowman to 41 to Washington....keep the turns simple, due the number of people. Larry showed up just as we were leaving, and suggested another way....which was a BEAUTIFUL ride....it was just VERY long....36 miles farther than our intended route. So it took 4.5 hours instead of 2 that I had budgeted. So we got there around 3:10PM.....crushed the kitchen again...and bolted.

Actually spent some time talking to him as well hes a ok guy for sure, but something is wrong when in 5 min time you piss off 3-4 different groups of people.

He broke down the day before and had to run to reno for filters etc.. i just happened to drive by when he had gotten back.
