quote from roon101: "swore up and down it was last weekand. so yeaop you guessed it i drove up to meadow to find no one there lol" end quote

That's awesome! I did the same thing in 2007 (see my post under 3rd Annual Mr. Miyagi Memorial Announcement - Sept 12-14)
I feel a lot better about it now that I'm not the only one :)

5th Annual. I'm stunned. As agreed last year, Sept 17, 18, 19 to try to avoid fees at Meadow Lake.

hey at least you can laugh at yourself! and you told us about it!

Pending the condition of one of our dogs (sick), I'm hoping to ride out from here and camp with your guys Friday or Saturday night if I can talk one of my local dirt bike friends into going along.

We took a run out to Meadow Lake and back on Sunday. Pete tried to make it up to Jack's Spot on his bike, but turned around when he found a tree across the trail. I've got a couple of pictures of the tree but I guess we can't post pictures into this thread. You guys may want to do a little nighttime chainsaw action in addition to the star gazing.

so did you find out exactly where the campsite is yet? or are we still playing it by ear? also do you have a rough departure time for the sunday ride?
i'm going to pinks all out in sonoma on sat. and will be getting home around midnight so then if i left and headed up that night i would arrive at 2-3am YUCK!
so i was thinking about waking up and heading up in the am just trying to see if that'll work.
