Board down-time

Hi there,

You don't know me, but Ken has asked me to do a few things for him that require the board being taken down for a few hours.

Normal service should resume shortly - with a surprise!

Surprise!

Everything should be running OK.

If you have any problems let either myself or Ken know.

If you can't log in, drop me an email on tom -at- racerxband -dot- com

Thanks Tom!!!

I hope you all like the improvement. Once I get it configured....I'll see how much space I have...and if I'm ok....we'll have the ability to upload photos. :)

Cool improvement, things seem to be working OK as I poked around. I'm sure you'll be doing some customizing, eh?

Nice upgrade. A few things are F'n w/ my head tho still....heh!

edit: Do you want the members to start a bug list/enhancement thread?

One is, it's making me login when I create a new browser window - not saving it like it should when I select "automatically log me in each time I visit" (or whatever it's called now). Not sure if that's a cookie problem on my end or on the server end....

I also have to re login everytime too.

The cookie / auto-login problem is now fixed.

There is a discreet setting for cookie domain in phpBB3, it had been auto-set when I ran the upgrade on a different server (the host for atvobsession.com couldn't quite cope).
I've set the correct cookie domain now and it all seems to be working fine.

Just reporting problems here is fine as far as I'm concerned; I don't see the need to start a separate thread for it.

I'm not an ATV guy (oh how I wish I was), but I will be checking back here for the next week or two to sort out any problems people have. Either that or Ken will let me know if anything goes wrong in a big way.

Oh, and pleased to meet you all. You seem like nice people :-)

Thanks Tom, for working on things here. It's definitely a cool upgrade and I know there are little nits that come along with such things! We appreciate the work - and we don't bite (according to Ken).

Dave

PS - having avatars back would be nice... :-)

Done :-)

Completely didn't realise they were turned off, to be honest!

Spam is starting to appear in many of the board sections - maybe some kind of phpBB exploit? Maybe approval of new members is needed?

Sorry...I was swamped all day today planting trees with Jack.

I'll deal with the spammers this week. I fly out in 2 hours.

Kind of weird with the avatars on the right -
