Depends on the size of the trailer, we've had 30' 5th wheels back there with no problems.

Hey Ken,
Looks like Jake and I are out this year. My dad is having cancer surgery on the 10th. We are both really bummed, but have to be there. We'll catch up with you soon. Going to take him up and do the Tahoe side of the Rubicon in the next few weeks to make up for it. When I get a date, I'll post it on "Going for a Ride". Have a great time!

What's the ride plan? I can probably get Friday off and be out there around 9 am to make camp. I'll have to do the tent thing, since my Lance camper deal fell through (which is how I ended up getting the new quads instead). I'm not about to try dragging my 40' fifth wheel back there.

If you guys are going down Fordyce, I'll respectfully pass; having done half of the Dusy recently, I have NO desire to do seriously technical stuff for a while, especially on a brand new machine that won't yet have proper skid plates and stuff.

So far I will either be out Thursday night and stay over there at Meadow Lake, or I'll be out there by 9 am on Friday morning. I'll follow you guys as far as I care down Fordyce, then go off and do my own thing, maybe with others who don't care to do Fordyce either.

What's the plan for Saturday's ride? Length, etc. Need to know if I need to bring more than one flat pack of extra fuel.

Saturday ride is to Washington, and having lunch and a drink for Terry at the Hotel.

You won't need more than a tank...unless you get lost.

I was wondering if the road was still "available" to us or not. Was really looking forward to sitting at the intersection again for an hour and contemplating where the hell everyone went again.

Reciting "Deep Thoughts" by Jack Handy to myself.

Ken I'm going to try and make it some time during the weekend. I got drawn for a elk for the first time in 13 years. I'm leaving on wednesday and hopefully be home on friday so I'll try to be there sometime saturday.

And when they ride down to it, there is a cloak of dust on the road that you can practically ride on top of. Think Skyline Blvd on a really foggy day - except this stuff coats everything and stays with you.

But the town is neat. Then everyone gets lost on the way back, except for D2 who religiously mans the turn to make sure everyone turns at Weaver Lake. :-)
