New Forums?

Postby Ken » Tue Jan 15, 2008 10:59 am

I noticed a lot more non-california...which is great. If anyone would like any new forums...by all means give me ideas and I will accommodate.

Maybe a For Sale forum. More people that show up, more goods that may be for sale.

Whatever you do, please no politics or religious section, no good could come from that.

I do have a thought about a section just for Reno ATVers that never get to ride but always want to :crybaby: .

I think a more appropriate (correct) title would be 'Reno ATV'ers that always ask about upcoming rides, are offered opportunity, and then decline due to an aching back'.

I would like to see a tech section too - maybe something like 'What's going to break on Hower's quad next - and how Kendo will fix it'.

BAAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA

This could tie into Lori's request too. :smirk:

LOL! I think that's a great idea. I do OK with electro-gadgets, but I don't know crap about mechanics. I'd love to learn more, especially about how to FIX my quad out in the field when things go bad. Kendo can't be in all places at all times, right? :)

Yeah, those Kendo's can be illusive at times. Funny, they just seem to show up at the right time and place to facilitate a trail side or shop repair though. LMAO!!!

Maybe Ken and I can get together and make a series of videos on ATV repair. He will break and I will fix. LOL

ROFL! But that would be really-really cool. We could load your videos on our iPhones and mechanical expertise would be just a touch-screen-push away at all times. :D

Hey Dave, let me try to give you some cover fire, looks like you need it. :)

A few months back, RobG invites me to ride out by Gold Lake with him and some other guys. I'm psyched, because RobG was one of the people in the famous Trying to Break Stuff video, and that hill is right there in the area. I'm thinking that maybe they'll want to do that hill again, I'll have my video gear, so we can shoot Trying to Break Stuff II - The Sequel. Kind of like one of those horror movie sequels where the same monster (the hill) shows up to eat someone it almost ate before (RobG) plus a whole new unsuspecting cast of characters.

Then a few days before the ride, my dogs get in a fight, I reach in to try to break it up (DUMB) and one of the dogs chomps down on my left hand. One of those canines-touch-bone kind of bites. I figured I could just keep icing it, wrap an ace bandage around it, and be good enough. But I couldn't bend my thumb enough to make a grip, so I had to bow out. Good thing I've still got the scars to prove it happened, else I might end up with a smilie/skirt icon too!
