No, this isn't going to be a real technical ride. I want to try and make the loop into the American River Canyon from Yuba Gap to Emigrant Gap. May have a tree or two to move or go around, but for the most part a casual cruise.

Although, seeing how open Fordyce looks I considered making the run down to the creek, just to see it

It should be a fun ride, I will proably not bring my camera as i am still trying to find one of hte pelican cases that will allow me to keepthe dirt, water and dust out of the camera components.

Will see you guys @ 8:30 @ the Yuba Gap exit. . .

I do not think we will be going far enough to justify brining any extra gas so will proably not.. . you guys agree?

Dude...stop over thinking it. Unless you're bringing a big Digital, like Larry to get Nature photos....the best thing to do...

Get a cheapo Canon camera for about 125 bucks. Then do what I did....get a 512MB card and case....then sew the case to a fanny pack (which holds the Collett battery).

You can whip out the camera in a second....it can't fall off (like it did to me) cause it's the velcro is sewn shut and when the camera dies in 2 seasons....pull the SD card out....and put it in a new camera.

Shouldn't need extra fuel, unless you're taking Mr. Bills gas guzzler quad, just make sure you start full.

I hate to say this, but try WalMart, they have a pretty good selection of the small cameras Ken's talking about

Or...

Get a decent Canon...like the S500 which is 5 megapixels and get the $169 All Weather case...water proof to 8 feet deep....Plenty deep enough, even if Terry is carrying your camera!

I got my softcase for my PowerShot A400 at Best Buy. It has a Velcro strap in the back, to loop a fanny pack or belt through. But when I lost my camera, riding pulled the velcro loose and camera fell of my fanny pack belt, still in the case.

So all I did, was got a needle and thread and put like 6 stitches through the velcro, so it couldn't come off. That's been working fine for a year now...and I have the same camera.
