sticking winch relay

Postby Thrasher » Tue Jun 29, 2004 8:15 pm

have ya'll ever run into a probelm where yer winch relay sticks? this seems to have happened 2x on me now...what i mean by stuck, is that i hit the in or out switch and nothing happens...but i've tapped on the relay and it will unstick and then work....

makes me wonder if water got in it...and can they be taken apart to wd-40 it up. ( i think)

The fact hat you have to tap your replay makes me thing that there is some faulty wiring, not condensation in there. That is my two cents for what it is worth. . .

the wiring is OK...no breaks or anything, but to get the relay to work it needs to be tapped, thats what makes me think something got in it.
talking to a coworker, he seems to think that maybe there is dirt in there, he said that would do it...i'll see if i can open it and look.

My guess is Mr. Snatch Block would know the answer aka: Jack and or Mr. Encyclopedia aka:Ken

If it were me, I'd just take it in and let Ken's credit pay the bill.... lol.
