Brakes not working properly??

Postby Ken » Sun Jun 20, 2004 12:30 am

What happens??

So...It's innocent enough....Terry takes in ATV to get serviced. I agree to pick it up today (Sat). I get home, roll down the ramp when I notice Brake fluid (Brakes were one of the repair items). I also notice, the brake handle, pulls in far. So, I head back up the ramp to take it back to the dealer....when I try to stop...it didn't QUITE stop soon enough.

damn dude..

this is my biggest fear whenever my atv is in my bed of my truck!
the winch WILL smash out the window (shortbed), but if it backed in, nothing comes close to hitting the window.
good thing i have a trailer...

Yeah..I have a trailer...but it was in the garage, filled with 2 700's, my daughter's 90 and my son's motorcycle.

I may start backing it in....that's a good suggestion.

kind of a pain to get it in backwards tho, me and 2 other people just push it up into the bed instead of trying to ride it up...

I do NOT feel comfortable riding up ramps, first time i tried they just about slid off the truck.

I guess i left the part out where i was going in reverse up the ramps..

ya, the ramps slid under the wheels, while in reverse it was not fun!
probably would help if I went ahead and put that reverse mod in,
slow reverse up ramps just doesnt work, I hit my handy yellow thumb button, the gas went, wheels spun and the ramps slid. wh00ps!!

HOLY SHIT....you can really see the rotation start fast...but then slow down a lot at upside down.

Of course, if Terry was driving....the rotation would have stopped precisely at upside down.

Shit Ken, what on earth did you do here. . .

You are beating your truck up big time, first you run into the trailor with teh tailgate down and then this window. . .what is next, give it to the kids when they turn 16, they can use it as a beater. . .
