Rubicon Roll Call

Postby MrBill » Tue Aug 09, 2005 5:56 am

I'm looking to go this weekend. Can everyone chime in with aprox. times and locations. This is my first Con trip on my quad and I should not go it alone looking for some base camp half way up the trail (Buzzard Food ). I'll be at the Loon Dam at about 8AM on Saturday.
Equipment: Due you think I need a tube along with my plug kit? Riding Sat. and Sunday a 2 1/2Gal gas can should due it right?

Tube only matters...if you have a means to get the tire off. IT'S A BITCH.....but you can do it without a bead breaker....but prepare to huff.

The trail isn't that long...if your patch kit won't work....you'd be better off leaving a spare at your truck....and walking back for it (if you were alone) or having your buddy ride back for it.

Personally...I wouldn't go far in alone.

BTW...my original plans completely fell apart....I have a FLAKEY friend in Minnesota.

Anyway...I'll be around there...but no ATV....it's a family camping trip....mostly kids.
