Thought I would share this with you guy's in case any of you are considering a near-future purchase of a similar product.

I have been wanting to invest in a nice small yet heavy duty trailer to tow behind my ATV that could serve double duty for getting some yard work done and also be able to use out on the trail when ATV camping... and I think I finally found what I was looking for!

The trailer/dump cart I am referring to is made in the USA (of forign and domestic parts-lol, you cant have everything)! Ohio Steel Professional Grade 12.5 cubic foot Dump Cart. It uses nicely coated steel components in conjunction with a poly-resin tub for durability and corrosion resistance, and is rated to haul an AMAZING 1,250# load (more than my Dodge Dakota is rated for)! The tub has the ability to tilt and swivel for dumping loads such as gravel ,sand, soil, ect. The unique hitch is well designed and allows for use with a hitch pin and/or tow ball, and will allow the trailer toung to pivot without binding much like a mini-version of a military-style pintle hook setup. The feature that most attracted me to this particular trailer aside from the previously mentioned traits is how the frame is designed where it supports the stub axles, which provides a healthy 12" ground clearance! That extra ground clearance combined with the enormous weight capacity is what makes this particular trailer stand out from the rest, especially when intending to use it for off road trail ATV camping or hunting.

I did a bit of searching in attempt to locate the best deal on one of these trailers. Most retailers and on-line distributors are asking somewhere between $329-$349 and want to tack on an additional $50-$75 shipping fee for the rather large bulky/heavy box it would ship in.

Luckily I found a smokin' deal through a tractor supply outfit that is currently offering this trailer on sale as a "managers special" for the modest sum of $249! If you are lucky enough to have a location within driving distance you can save yourself the $70 shipping fee by picking it up in person 8)

Here is a link to the sale, if interested in a purchase click on the store locations to find the nearest to you... I drove to Woodland Ca. for mine which cost me about 6 gallons of fuel round trip and still ended up saving me a substantial amount of mooolah$$$

Nice cart - I like the lack of an axle from hub to hub, nice ground clearance. Wish I could get one!

That looks like a nice trailer! With 12" ground clearance I think it would definitely be better for ATV camping usage than my Polar HD 1500 trailer that I wrote about here. Yours also has tie-down locations along the top which mine doesn't have. I'm thinking about drilling holes along the top and epoxying in some type of bushings to fix that.

For yard duty I think yours would be too small for me. Mine is 22 cu ft and for hauling limbs and pine needles I wish it were even bigger. The dump feature is really nice, i use that all the time, but the trailer is so long that you can't get enough of an angle for everything to just slide right out. It looks like yours will go way steeper since it is shorter and a bit higher so you won't have that problem. I've used mine a ton already and it is holding up well.

LOL - we all have our priorities! Mine is a new coffee roaster. Daily coffee trumps occasional yard work! House would trump daily coffee! ;-)
