new front differential (well new to me)

Postby Mr. Green » Tue Dec 28, 2010 5:08 pm

well just found a great deal on a used 2010 front differential, it looks like it will lock up faster and for 350-380$ its worth a shot for some improvement.

i cant remember 100% but you guys that had polaris sportsmans , you didnt have power steering did you?

People seem to think the visco - lok QE with out power steering will jerk / pull to much. Im not to worried about it but i asked some of you that went to terry 's / chads memorial ride if you used power steering and Grizzly Guy was the only one that had it correct? Mainly asking the polaris guys..

Im getting pumped up i hope its really this good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZg2wWp-WAw
and if every thing works out i may be able to get it in before i head down the valley of fire.

theres a blue stiker on it of its a 2010 qe (lol i know how hard to stick that on). I wont know for 100% tell its in and running though. The guy im buying from someone i fell should be honest Rick Cecco (gncc) , he says its from bike with 300 miles trail road not raced. Im sure they trail ride just as hard though, but only 300 miles im praying its ok  .

i have nothing but nightmares about that question... I didnt even ask since i knew what ever he told me would most likely make me turn away (i hate used parts period). I took a leap of faith... so for 388$ invested but if it works out it could be the best money / mod ive done to date.

my honda would do that as long as he front tires had no resistance put some pressure on on wheel
and it would stop while the other spins and brian if you watch closely in your montage video when none of your tires are on the ground they all 4 spin at once i belive i even make a comment in that video about it. when your high centerd.

i saw what your talking about, but ive also seen videos of the new visco-lok in real world use, and it better hands down. I just hope its worth the effort time / money.

well got it in today, errr more correctly i paid someone to put in for me today. I only got a chance to jack it up to test it in the garage and it did AMAZING, it locked up instantly. Im working sat but sunday im going to head out to mud creek (small place just out side chico) to try and give it a little real world testing before taking off tue for the valley of fire (out side vegas).

the guys im meeting up for this trip look like some true rock hounds.
