yea my gps is not so great i am not even sure it tells me how fast i am going just a cheapy etrax but works for getting me home

i just go by the oh crap factor any way most of time as in oh crap i am going way to fast for that corner.

been so long sens i rode my quad not sure how fast it goes atm.

I'm all over the place but it highly depends on location for me. Desert / dunes very fast 10-70+, fire roads 5-55, Logging roads 5-40, off road trail 1-to what ever is safe. On the other hand ive putted at 10-15 on easy FS roads just looking at stuff as well. Its a hard to answer that question, but do i like to go fast? Yes but only in the right places, and only for short burst.

Safety would dictate my speed. If I wanted to go fast I would have bought a sport quad and crashed already. :D

alot depends on the trail. myself i enjoy getting out seeing things takeing it all in.if i have to spend the day riding looking at the ground all day doesnt seem to be fun anymore and at the end of the day i really havent seen anything. dam i new i was fat but now i must be getting soft and old!!! :wink:

It's all about the COFU Index. This index is critical to not only ATV speed, but pretty much any life situation.

Proper estimation of the COFU Index is essentially evolutionary therory simplified.

Here are some examples:

Testing a 9v battery with your tongue = low COFU Index

Testing a 220v line with your tongue = high COFU Index




oh yeah, COFU = Consequence of F'ing Up
