You can buy mounts or what I use is some small dog colars and I pull them tight then push the pin through the colar. It works pretty good. I can take a pic if needed.

Thanks, I'd like to see the pics. I have a couple mounts coming, and velcro to use for now.

My future plan is to build a mount/storage for them off the back of the quad. That way I can store 2 off the back against the quad, and have my pack in the front or in the back. This would also give me the option to take a 3rd tank on the front for camping trip, or SAR missions.

Also my front springs are already shot from plowing, and carrying around fuel up front would probably prompt that to happen again sooner than later.

Ken I are both running the polaris HD springs in the front and the epi HD springs in the rear. It make a big difference. The stock springs get soft after a while. Plus the HD springs add a lot of ground clearence.

Here is the link for the rear springs. Just have to find your year and what engine you have.

Regarding the flat packs - take some time and research the Kolpin flat packs vs. the Rotopax. The new style Kolpins have a reputation for leaking after a very short while. I have no experience with the new style Kolpins, just the Rotopax.

I talked to Jason @ RotoPax and I`m getting some of those :D

I did read a few places about ppl complaining of the Kolphins.

Flat Gas Tanks

Postby RenoDeano » Wed Mar 03, 2010 5:31 pm

Have been using the industrial grade type velcro securing devices sent with the tanks for 3 years, with no problem. I put a half moon heavy card board cut out under the flat pack.
