The Forest is watching?

Postby Ken » Mon Jan 11, 2010 7:54 am

Here, under the guise of fire safety, is a plan to install cameras to monitor the forest.   http://www.envirogadget.com/solar-power ... on-system/    Volunteers will review the images.  Is this the precursor to cameras at trailheads and trails, also monitored by volunteers looking for bad behavior?  What does this mean for individuals rights? I assume the argument is the same as camera monitors along streets:  in a public space people cannot expect privacy.

Initially this appears to be a scan for smoke at the tree top level.  Lots of backing from Sony.

It's insane....Fingerprinting is WORTHLESS. If I buy ammo...does every bullet have my fingerprint on it? Of course not.

It proves nothing, stops nothing.

Oh cmon....its pretty obvious that this new law keeps people who are not allowed to have guns from buying ammo.....
