WARNING: AdventureWorld.TV

Postby GrizzlyGuy » Fri Apr 03, 2009 7:55 pm

As a civic-minded, law-abiding respectable citizen ()... I thought I ought to warn you guys about something.

DO NOT, under any circumstances, go here:

http://AdventureWorld.TV

A bunch of punks have created a new TV show that they claim is "TV for thrill seekers". These yahoos ride ATVs way too fast, jump off tall cranes in populated areas, use their 'hand-gliders' to buzz innocent citizens walking along the beach, drive Hummers while distracted, ski like they're intoxicated, and sing like crap. If there isn't a law against singing like crap... then by gawd there ought to be.

Once again, friends: DO NOT click this link for any reason ever:

http://AdventureWorld.TV

If you happen to encounter any of these yahoos, then please do the right and responsible thing: call Congress immediately and insist they pass even more laws restricting our ability to have fun.

Or offer these yahoos a beer.

Whatever.

Damned good stuff! A bit long on the intro. to each Episode, but awesome footage.

I'd like to get some video going from my adventures; sky diving, rappelling, ATV'ing and general desert mountain bushwhacking!

Thanks for sharing the site/link and footage!

Yeah, can you believe those guys? Somebody get a rope, they’re outright thieves! If they steal the Fishoil Incident video, then you can help me string ‘em up:

Get going on that BF, because we’re thinking about having a “guest video” segment in the future. Not sure if the TV stations will go for it, though. They say they prefer locally produced content. :(

Hey, how about anchoring your rope on your quad, start rappelling down, then let loose and BASE jump to the bottom? Where you drive away on your ATV? That would be WAY cool! :D

Yes, the intro is a little long. We did that because we couldn’t commit to 13 episodes to get a regular time slot on the TV stations. They will just toss our episodes on whenever, in no particular order, so we wanted a “hook” for whenever someone new might tune in.

Hey Kendo, when it warms up I’m thinking about going over to Reno and doing a skydive to get some more video, maybe even stick at it and get certified. Reno’s a long hike for you but I’ll let you know when if you want to go too. That’s Flyin Boy doing the jump in the intro. I'm still a virgin.

Hah! Yeah Dave, I imagine that must bring back some uncomfortable memories. I still can't understand how you missed the obvious warning signs:

Nice stuff Eric. And now I know what you're going after. My last stay in Tahoe, broke my leg and was in bed for a few days watching boring TV. Found the local channel and it had snippets of locals doing stuff. Is that your market for this?

By the way, you need to be arond me with a camera. I'm very talented at providing interesting content via doing stupid things.

Thanks Loppy! Yup, it's those boring local TV stations that we're going after. The ones that air re-runs of the city council meeting from two weeks ago during late night hours. Zzzzzz.....

You sound like a perfect new cast member for the show. We were kicking around a working title of "Jackass For Old Guys", but in the end we went with Adventure World.

Hey, do you do any acting? Cause I have a rough concept for a short film rattling around in my head. It involves off-roaders, terrorists and greenies. Just imagine what happens when they try to get together and make smores around the campfire.

Adventure World episodes 3, 4 and 5 have been released for anyone that's interested. ATV riding, hang gliding, skiing, snowboarding, and more idiocy from Flyin Boy.

You can get to all 5 episodes, or just watch the intro segment, from here:

No issue, go for it, BruteForce!

P.S. - If you know of any public access TV stations out there that might want to carry the show, let me know. They usually require at least some local content but I think we have Utah content in most if not all of the episodes.
