The polaris isn't really cheaper. Tatou includes the mounting brackets. Polaris's $3100. Price is just the tracks and not the brackets.

I have the Polaris tracks..and Scott has Tatou.

Scott is correct....my point is...if you are interested in Polaris tracks...Talk to Rachel at OTD, because she will likely get you a better deal (remember, ATVOBSESSION members get a discount). RockyMountainATV is the best place to look for the Tatou. That's where you got them, right Scott?

Looks like Retail for the Polaris brand is around $3100.

Wonder if Placerville Polaris could beat that...
Had no idea they were that kind of money, so I guess in Canada that would be around 5K.

Yeah they are pricey, and you can for sure find a used sled for that price.
I also think the benefit is not having to maintain to completely separate vehicles, and for some people having to store 2 separate vehicles. Also, they work good in mud/swamps I heard too.

I got the 2010 tatou 4s tracks. They retail for 3549.00. So with tax its $ 3841.79. I got 15% off of mine and paid $3300.00 including tax.

That would be a hard price to beat.

When I was deciding to get tracks vs a snow mobile I looked at what I really like to do. I like to explore and I'm not all about going fast as I can or climbing crazy hill climbs. Plus I like to do winter camping and I already have all the camping gear for my atv. And with the atv tracks I can ride the same trails as I do in the summer and go from snow to dirt. And don't have to worry cause there four season tracks.

My thoughts too.

I somewhat wish I had an X2 now so that the wife and I could go camping together with the quad.. but, I`ll have my buggy done soon enough and we can use that... not th same really.

I think it would be cool if everyone I road with had tracks, one person having tracks could really be lonely if you are the only one who can make it.

I`m looking forward to this storm coming in Sunday/Monday... hope to hit some snow then :) It's nice having a 1k elevation change available out the back door for mild to deep snow :D

Once I get tracks and can follow you guys ya`ll may have to come up here and ride.

Those the 4S that you got? Seems like a deal if they are just bolt on.. the tracks look way more deep/aggressive than the polaris and other ones I've seen though :?:
