Where to Ride

Postby avejoe » Mon Dec 29, 2008 11:16 am

With the low snow level (3,500 ft) and the pending ENF closures, where can we go riding within a reasonable radius of the Sacto area?

Suggestions please.

Thanks!

Start planning now and post here until you hit 4-5 pages - then wind up staying home anyway.

That suggestion is not as helpful as I would like. You sound like my wife.

We went up friday to foresthill. We started at finning mill road and road to the sugar pine ohv area in the snow. It was a good ride except that we lost three beads all together two of which were my fronts. That part sucked with it getting dark out and it was 22 outside. I'm gonna order some beadlocks.

I did that ride last week too. We need to coordinate better.

With the snow filled ruts on the OHV trails, I felt like I was on Autopia at Disneyland. The trail does the steering for you. That was not a lot of fun.

Roon will show you Stonyford. Room to ride at about 2000 ft and you can ride up to the snow also. :D

I guess snow and stuff wedged in...lost air and blam. The fact it happened at the same time....strange.

Well............reseating?

Co2 air with a strap around the tire to squeeze closed

or

Ether.
