I don't know.....

He sells the DVD's to make money.....this allows him to make more. If people just rent the DVD's instead of buy...the amount that netflix buys, may just kill it. I don't know...Thomas is the only one who knows for sure.

It's a catch 22...having on netflix makes them more known....but he may not sell as many, causing him to not make anymore.

I'll bet a million dollars, he doesn't want MMIV on NetFlix until it's been on the market awhile.....

I don't know the business model....maybe a few cents per rental goes to the publisher, in this case Thomas....or it's just the rental purchase.

it's like all the rental companies...they buy the DVDs from a distributor who buys them from the producer/studio....you don't see anything else cash wise

I guess it means we are mainstream??? ha ha

I'm not too worried about it. Though I would rather have Netflix purchase films direct from me.

It should be a positive deal since it could create exposure of the film series to hundreds of thousands of folks

Cool! I still haven't seen the entire MM III film. Now, it's at the top of my Netflix queue, so I'll finally see the extreme Moab action!

roon101 let me know who to contact at netflix...found out that my main distributor did not sell them vids...but they think it may be a distributor who we no longer work with (they don't pay).
