Tahoe NF is having a Sawyer Training for Volunteers in the Tahoe. I have six seats reserved for this training and it is open to those of you who actually volunteer.
Why??? Tahoe requires that if you use a chainsaw for volunteer work that you are certified to use it....
That someone
cutting a tree at the Mr myagi annual ride would have needed to been certified. (and wearing the right safety gear). Chainsaw certification on April 12 and 13 for volunteers. (You must attend both days)
Pretty fun class and it teaches you how to use a chainsaw correctly (not the way your dad taught you).
