Casto Canyon Video Part 1

Postby Vulcan » Wed Jan 09, 2008 10:38 am

Here is a little video we put together from Casto Canyon in Utah. The video was taken in May 2007
68.8 MB
7:27 min's long
It is a super nice ride with awesome views of the hoodoo's as they call them :)

The video was done using a Helmetcamera made by Sony and we used the Sony HC-96 Camcorders to grab the footage.
Hope you enjoy it :)

Special Thanks to GrizzlyGuy

Nice one, Vulcan. That's a super-scenic place for sure. We hit it again in October. Hey, where did you get that cool soundtrack music?

Nice ride, NorCal. You wouldn't be willing to share what your top speed in that bad boy has been, would you? No worries, we know you were probably on the track when you hit it. :D

No problem Griz.
The fastest I have had it up to so far is aprox. 160ish range, not sure how accurate that is seeing as he speedo stops at 140 ,I was racing a buddies corvette so we were going off his speedo, but I will tell you what, its pretty scary, and of course this was all done on a closed course :)

Oh my GAWD, that's awesome NorCal! Yeah, it sure does sound scary. Most sailplanes diving at redline can't even do 160 mph. I think Vulcan has the speed record for Raptors, so maybe you guys can go race on a real short track so he has a chance.

I heard anything over 100mph gets to be about 10mph off the faster you go, so it might be only about 140, but still 140 is still moving

Thanks Guys
Most the help came from the awesome GrizzlyGuy he turned me on to the stuff. In my younger days I did a lot of cave diving and video a ton of caves here in Florida. I got old LOL and started riding quads well you know what happen next :)
Video yep with the help of GrizzlyGuy it all came together. He told me about the Helmetcamea made by Sony and then the best camcorder for the job made by Sony the HC-96 then power pole connections to the quad for power. Hum.......... what next well pelican dry box to keep all this cool stuff in and keep the camcorders dry. I know my video are not wild and crazy but we are working on that :)
Yea them silly tunes on the videos LOL
We needed music so I made a bunch of songs using FL Studio and a few other third party add-ons so we have music now to add on the videos and it is all free
