What do you think
Do you think the snow will be too deep up around Boca/Stampede this coming weekend to get a good ride in. I'm not looking to be winching the whole time. A little help please .

Dave, Dave, Dave....Got Florida on your brain? By this weekend...there should be 4-5 feet of snow there.

I don't want to keep a good man down Dave, but it's snowing now and we're supposed to get more snow off and on all week. I can keep you posted if you like but I'm thinking it would be a no-go. Unless you've got a sled.

Please rembember this will be my first winter here so I am gonna have alot more stupid questions. Sounds like maybe I should be looking toward the desert if I want to ride? Any one want to ride the desert this weekend?

I'll do one better. To the east of Reno is some pretty darn cool stuff. Just a few minutes out of town, we could ride from there to Virginia City. I went on a jeep run out there and the spur roads and neat stuff to check out was endless. Lots of Mustangs too. I think the area is called Loiston.

Virginia City you say , that is some pretty country, a little snow a little desert a little mountain. Sounds like the best of both worlds to this good ole southern boy . Someone keep me up on this, I'll be in for this weekend and or next weekend, I JUST WANT TO RIIIIIIIDE .

Dave,
We'll be going after Christmas...Fri or Sat. I'm not sure where, but possibly around Moonrocks.

It's definitely going to be Friday, unless something strange happens.
My 2 choices would be Foresthill or Moonrocks. I'm assuming that there's still not too much snow at the lower elevations at Foresthill. Moonrocks is a guaranteed riding place, unless it's snowing that day. No thanks towing 4 quads over the summit.

I'M OUT. Gotta work on Friday, but if something changes and you go Saturday or Sunday I'll be in.
I know what you mean by going over the summit in the snow. I went to SF for the weekend and came home on Monday around noonish and it was snowing up that way. I mean it was not even that bad and I saw 2 cars in the snow bank (one was a nice looking Porche), gotta be a bear on a good snow fall I imagine.
