ROFL! Oh man, I just opened a Red Tail Ale, sat down at the computer, and almost blew the first swig of ale out my nose. The one time in my life I try the 'muscle man' pose, you snap it, and follow up with one showing my ankle about to be sheared off.

Ahhh... those silly shoes. Here's the story on that:

Knowing that we'd be crossing the stream a few times, I figured it would be a good idea to bring along my ultra-grip kayaking shoes to wear just at the stream crossings. You never know when you might have to wade out into the current, tread across the moss-slimed rocks, and free a rolled, drowning rider from their machine, right?

But I couldn't find them. So I grabbed this pair of slip-on shoes that my wife got me, that I never liked, and figured they would be better than my boots for water use. I was wearing my boots when we started but changed into the crappy shoes at the first crossing. See here:

http://www.atvobsession.com/pictures/Fo ... age38.html

We were so busy riding, spotting, taking photos, etc. that I didn't get a chance to put my boots back on until we were done with Fordyce and heading for Signal Peak.

So there you go. Those crappy shoes sure aren't recommended. I think I'll just get a taller pair of boots like Ken's and avoid that whole change-shoes thing the next time around. :)

Haaaaaahahaha.... that's a great story. And I knew there was some reason for it (noticing you had nice boots on in previous pics). For some reason, they just stuck out like a sore thumb with me and I had to jab ya in the ribs.

Side note, GREAT idea by the way. Might have to throw some TEVA's in my pack on the next Fordyce run.
