Advice needed

Postby zkeys » Fri Sep 07, 2007 1:10 pm

I am looking to buy some rims. Got an offer to buy some used ITP type-4 black rims that only have 30 miles on them. He is asking 200 shipped. However the one rim has a big scuff mark right where the rim meets the tire. It stands out a bunch and just worries me a bit. I could get some crappy steel wheels brand new for around $170 shipped. And I could get the same model new for $280 shipped. How much lower should I counter offer to him for these. Tires are not included by the way.

Dude - size that pic down -

Get the new rims and jack them up yourself - or consider the $80 you save for pre scuffed..

I bought mine used, about the same price and condition included caps and lugs. Unless you're riding in parades does that scratch really hurt anything.

If your name is Ken Hower - aka "The Gingerbread Man" - then yes, yes it does.

I'd buy 'em, no tax and still saving $$ off new. They're gonna get scratched and dinged anyway, this way, you won't feel so bad the first time YOU do it.

Gingerbread man?? This is the same guy, who wants to put wood filler to patch a rub mark on the INSIDE of his toy hauler?

Kettle.....Meet freaking BLACK.

Buy the rims used...Kendo's right....you won't feel a bit of guilt, when you scuff the other 3.

And that's 280, plus tax...shipping? Buy used.

It would be 280 shipped from Rocky Mountain ATV. Yeah, I will probably buy them. Bastards! Oh, concerning the pic, my wife tells me that size does not matter... :o

New? Old? "New" or "old"....heck, I'm confused. If you 're satisfied with your "old" tires, then don't bother with any NEW ones or "new" ones...and use the ones you've got till they get old. :)
