What is a hero?

Postby Ken » Tue Mar 06, 2007 3:45 pm

SACRAMENTO-A 15-year-old boy was arrested Sunday afternoon after a video camera at a Home Depot store in the Antelope area reportedly caught him setting grass fires in a field behind the store, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District spokesman Christian Pebbles said.

Fire crews responded to a series of six grass fires near Roseville and Antelope roads Sunday. Weather conditions prevented the fires from getting out of hand, Pebbles said.

"Fortunately, we didn't have high heat, high winds or low moisture, so the fires didn't really get going," he said.

Soon after, staff members at the Home Depot store viewed the tape and spotted the boy in the area. Officials cited him on suspicion of arson and released him, Pebbles said.
