Ice Racing

Postby Ken » Sat Jan 20, 2007 11:13 pm

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Bill, Jeff, Lori and I.....totally "ripped it up" on Miller Lake today. AWESOME! We made an oval...and tore it up....Jeff kept cutting the course to make "more action"....it was a blast.

Lori called it "The Testosterone Bowl"

Wait till you see the videos.....LOL

I went out Friday with Dusty and Chad (1 D) and did a little ice racing ourselves. Chad (1 D) has some videos and I'm SURE sometime he'll SHARE it with us. Pictures don't do it justice.

LOL, I even thought they should be going the other way for the picture. We went counter-clockwise for a while, then turned and went clockwise, very different lines

Here's a taste of our trip. I did the conversion with a shareware so it left a damn watermark but it's still funny, I'll work on getting rid of that. Credit to Chad (1D) for the fine work on the camera. The first is about 2mg, the second is almost 7. I hung on to the point where if I didn't lift I was going to fly off

Staci said, what a bunch of idiots about us doing it. . .

Man it was fun, we got spinning fast. . . it is amazing how fast you get going. .. I think it took another 45 minutes for me to totally recover from the spinning. . . I do not think i will do that again. . .

Here is one of Jeff doing a little spin. This is one of our first so later when Ken gets the other up we had the spin down a little better.

I went back up on Wednesday and the ice was already to thin to go out on :x Where we had been playing last week was only 1" - 1 1/2" thick and cracked when walked on. KCRA 3 is running a story about a guy that fell through the ice this morning while skating up at Donner, STAY OFF THE ICE

It's definitely a "Week to Week" condition.
