Bub Pipes

Postby Lope » Sat Nov 18, 2006 8:58 pm

If anyone has considered a BuB Ent. exhaust pipe for your quad, I can't recommend them enough. I purchased mine from Chris @ Atlas suzuki in Bristol virginia ( another great place to buy ). After purchasing the pipe I added a Dobeck. With those additions I wanted to dyno test the set up to confirm proper air / fuel mixture. The folks at BuB invited me up to Grass Valley, Ca. and threw it on their dyno for FREE. It was very impressive to have a manufacturer want their product to perform for the end user. Please support them if you need a quality pipe for your quad.

Respectfully;

Lope

There's lots of cool stuff in Grass Valley there Chaddar. I have Bub exhaust on my Road King, I wonder if they'll run it on the Dyno if I come up with some song and dance about it running bad?

After hearing the Bub pipe on a friends King Quad I think it's a better pipe than the LRD. I even considered buying one for mine, but will probably wait and buy his quad when he sells it :lol:

Yes Chad, my KQ has a set of Elkas. They too are a part of a quad that is ridden sparingly. I hope to get out more often in the year to come. I am not much of a hard core rock crawler but, I really enjoy the desert rides which is where the KQ shines. Best of luck with your Can-am dealership. I seriously considered the 800 XT. I did consider selling the KQ to try one, still might. If trucks shows up on a shiny new camo king for your next ride, start preping a camo XT, I will be in shortly thereafter to purchase.

KQ Dyno results.

Postby Lope » Fri Jan 19, 2007 12:10 pm

The folks @ Bub ran the KQ on their dyno.

My quad has: Twin Air filter, Bub pipe, Dobeck fuel controller, Bighorns @ 6 psi.

Ambient conditions at time: 60.17 degrees F, 27.31 in.-Hg, humidity @ 55%. The results was a Max Power reading of 32.67hp.

I have no idea where it was @ stock configuration. Regardless, it sounds good!.

Hmmmmm, I woulda thought a 700 cc would be in a bigger power range than that...I have to get out of the street bike mentality! Where can I get my quad dyno'd near roseville for a baseline?
