Re: Truckee Trails
Little Truckee Summit - If you can only go to one trailhead, this is the one. Tons of options. Ride over to Bear Valley OHV, Meadow/Bowman Lake Areas, Gold Lake/Valley, Plumas NF, Verdi, NV, wherever... all within riding range. From Truckee, take 89 north towards Sierraville, look for turn to Jacks...

Plus any "must have" stuff I wouldn't think of. Look forward to hanging out with you guys, and puttin on some miles. Well depending your riding style and who you try to keep up with, you might want to bring a spare frame, maybe a radiator, spare tires, spare wheels and enough oil and filters to flu...

GG, I think the lure you are talking about is a Panther Martin :D . That sounds right Dave! It was recommended to me by one of the fishing dudes here in town. Worked well out in Desolation Wilderness and also at Paradise Lake, but I haven't tried it in any of the lakes you can ride to. I'd guess it...

I think Tollhouse lake might be the one you are talking about. Or maybe even Weaver or McMurray or Catfish lake. I am actually thinking that White Rock lake is my first choice. I hear they have a nice OHV campground on the back side of the lake. Park at Little Truckee Summit and ride in and set up c...

Riding and fishing.

Does anyone have any suggestions about which might be the better places to go fishing. Also any suggestions on what kind of setup...

They must be getting HAMMERED.....I received a form letter today. Unfortunately, some users may ignore restriction or have poorly maintained equipment which is cause for concern and underscores the need for educational efforts. I don't see how saying don't start those ATVs educates anyone. What a b...

I updated this topic with the results from my recent trip to Utah. I got to use my spot while driving in my truck and while on the trail. I like having the SpotCasting mode as a secondary backup system. I figure if you got the thing with you why not make it as useful as possible. :) http://www.atvut...

Well, the trail was definitely open on July 1st. I came up from the 01 (FISP), connected to the 06, then through Adelaide campground, through Meadow, Kanosh, through the KOA. Stopped for lunch at the gas station in Kanosh, then back up the way I came, but returned via the 10 and 22 trails through J...
