I am not sure if I am understanding the problem. One thing I do know is that the drive shaft can pull out from the differential. It might be possible that it is not locked in to the differential anymore and it is slipping in and out. When it is in far enough it will turn, but if it backs out then it...

Great pictures all - especially the one with the clouds reflected in the lake. That's a framable picture! White Rock is definitely on my list to visit. Dave Thanks. I saw a pickup pull in a high mounted tent trailer to the "upper" camping area. The road to the back side of the lake is not as passab...

I went up there once and turned around. The National Geographic map list the trail you took as forest road #13E34. At that point it turns into horse trail 13E15. That whole area north of the Fordyce jeep trail to the south sides of French Lake and Faucherie and some distance to the west is some sor...

Different hardware has advantages and disadvantages. I have a 4 year old Magellan Meridian Gold. I never have a problem finding the road. The real difference when it comes to riding a ATV with a GPSr is the maps. Does it show the road you want to ride on? Do some research into this and I think you w...

About 2 tenths of a mile before Baltimore Lake it becomes a horse only and goes past Beyers lakes and comes out at Blue Lake. Think you'll be in some trouble if they catch you on a ATV back there. I would like to find that spot. The road I was on seemed to fade away. The upper fork on the post of m...

As you leave Meadow Lake campground towards Fordyce there is a sign that says Lake Baltimore jct 1/8 mile or something like that. If you stay to the right at that junction, you are on the road I took. Looking at the Grouse Lakes pdf I wonder if you were on the foot path towards French Lake.

I use a GPSr so Lat Long coordinates work better for me. If you have those you can enter them at this web site and it will be converted to UTM.

Here is a pdf that shows the Grouse Lakes area and the Byers Lake trail. The road I was on did not head towards French Lake.

Here is the track I rode from Meadow Lake.

Here's the road down...it's called Beyer Lake Trail I believe. Great photos. The road down from where and what lake is that? I know the Baltimore Lake area is inside the Grouse Lakes vehicle restriction area and the roads are closed. I lost track of the road I was on when it went up a large rock ou...

If we don't get any rain up there before the trip you will want a dust mask for sure. My son said he couldn't even see the trail in front of him. In a few spots it seemed like the powder was at least 6 inches deep.

White Rock Lake

My son and I went to White Rock Lake last weekend. We parked at Little Truckee Summit and rode in towing my little trailer. It was a nice easy ride on forest roads. The scenery was great. There are lots of roads to explore. We rode over to the Meadow Lake area on Saturday. I wanted to see how close ...

Looks like some good work. How would it work for one like mine? Mine has expanded over time. The photo shows it empty. When it is full, hot and at 7000 feet it is even bigger. The photo doesn't show it real well but it bulges a lot. If you have room for expansion then you should be good to go. http:...

Well if they are posted thru photobucket it is easy to change the size. Just log in to your photobucket page and if you edit the photo and change the size it will automatically get smaller on ATV Obsession.
