Hi everyone, I had a couple of three wheelers many years ago and have a Polaris Ranger 6x6 for about a month now. I have no clue about this thing, but I am slowly making head way with it. I got two of the tires fixed and the new master cylinder came yesterday so hopefully I can get this thing runni...

I like the 26" bighorn for a little bit more clearance. But, if they measure a little more like a 27" then you may want to stick to 25" bighorns that measure more like 26" Make sense? :D With the Utah terrain a 26" tire would be the biggest I would go. If you go any bigger you may want to possibly d...

Yeah, that is the same experience I had with HMF. Nice and annoyingly loud, nice and quiet with the core, but the sound was horrible.

Exhaust??

What are you guys running on you quads? I might be in the market here soon for a slip on for my brute. HMF is my least expensive option, but I am not sure I want it that loud. LRD, Big Gun, Pro-circuit, and Muzzy are all options. Anybody using these systems? Thoughts?
Thanks,
Zack

I have found that when re-installing the belt cover it is very easy to flip the belt switch to the "off" position, which would cause the rev limiter to engage. (Probably what happened to bruteforce) If I remember correctly the belt light that comes on is only telling you to service your belt, and th...

Thanks for the info Zack..........I don't want to be in the sticks in the limp home mode. I think I am going to change my belt and eliminate the switch. I am not a big fan of these belt drives, I think Honda is on the right track with the trans they have. I am not really a fan of the Kawi system. I...

Dave, I belive the Brutes, and Prairies for that matter, have an every 100 hour belt light that comes on and flashes. Not sure how to reset that but I think it is in the Clymer Maintenance manuals. I think the Dynatek CDI units bypass this annoying feature. But, as far as I know, the Dynateks are st...

No problem here Loppy, go for it. I like the utility aspect of the Outlander, but I will have to say the Renegade X is about the baddest ass looking ATV I have ever seen. Not to take away from the Outty, becaue it is pretty sweet to.

I do need to start doing my own maint. on the belt though, as its time-consuming and expensive to take it to the dealer everytime that light comes on. How difficult is it to replace the belt yourself? You need to buy a primary and secondary clutch pullers for the Kawis. The primary (drive pulley) i...

Sears wouldn't let us ride the quad through the store to the studio. Pricks. :D Yeah, the girraffe is mama's halloween costume for the boy. I am going to order him a Darth Vader costume, and we are going to go cut the arms off of things. :)

The wife just got back from getting the 6 month pictures done on our son Logan. Since they are so damn cute, I am going to post some here. They are scanned on my crappy HP so the quality is not good, but you get the point. Thanks, Zack My little Buckeye! http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r226/zkeys...

Griz Griz Griz. Love ya man, but not sure what to think about that one. In your situation I 100% agree with you. Alone in the wilderness, I would carry a gun myself. However, I do not believe that you should be pushing for everybody to always carry a gun with them. Well, take that back, you can do w...
