That does suck, a person would have to be nuts to wad up paper and stuff it on the core like that. I sent them an e mail with the vin number to see if they could tell me the build date on mine. There are a couple of parts that have a build date issue with. It has only been a couple of days on my e m...

Can't the filter be blown out a few times before it is replaced????? Here in Ohio we only have a couple of months that would be dusty.

I checked the hood last night and there is no numbers on it just a plaque of the dealer where it was bought.

You can mount it, but I never did. I did chain it to the back of my jeep to hold it while I broke the beads of the tires.

Looks like I'll stick with the stock air filter also.

I bought one of the tire mounting / dismounting things from Harbor Freight for 40 bucks. I took all six of my tires off, patched them, painted the rims and remounted them. It worked ok after I figured out how the thing worked.

That is closer than anything I got, that put me in the questionable year for a couple of parts. Could a parts hose figure out the month it was made????

Thanks

Where do they measure from?????

There are a few trails in Ohio, but the maximum width is 48 inches and 40 hp.
I measure the width between the front discs and it was 48 inches. Do they measure form wheel mounting surface to wms or from tire to tire????? It is a Polaris Ranger 6x6 that is in question.
Thanks

Should be one on the frame. Usually on the side, on the "driver" side. I checked all over or all under and never found a vin number. I found the engine & trany numbers I need to figure out when the thing was made so I can get the right thermal switch. I did find a tag that said the radiator was mad...

Rub the rust thing in and it is 34 degrees this morning, I hate cold weather. I need to get the body and cage back on this thing. Then that will just leave fixing the cage and building a snow plow.

Here is part of the problem, the holes are worn. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v298/gperx4/Ranger%206x6/DSCN2326.jpg So I made these plates to go over the worn brackets. I like the way polaris says to take them out a third at a time  I broke one loose then did the tightening thing again with it to break the other one. No luck on that one so I took the loose bolt out and installed a new longer bolt with a jam nut on it. Finally got the front A arm bolt out and ...

I looked at the diagram again and saw the tube that the bolts thread into. So I got one bolt out, but how in the world do you hold the tube to get the second bolt out?????????
