well after looking at Google earth i guess there is some type of powerhouse, it’s beyond a locked gate from where I park

there's actually no powerhouse around (think it was rj miles concrete plant back in the day) and if you've never been there it might be a little hard to find the route down to the creek bottom or vise versa from creek bottom to powerlines

we did start at the chicago power house/bear river and ran the powerlines past dutch flat cross road

the girl who took the pic said, "it was to cute, papa bear and cubs"

went up to white rock via bowman lake on the oct. 2nd and the “earthen barriers” at the bowman lake road are very easily traversed

well i was going to see if i could make it from bowman to meadow lake myself tommorow, but i guess not. nice pics gotta love the sierra spring in july someone from the the sierra trek ran up to meadow lake, via FR 86, and the road is mostly clear with some 1 lane spots and drifts: https://www.facebo...

i checked on google earth too, you can see the huge patch of cotton woods. thanks for the detailed directions. i just might be riding out there sooner than later. with all the bad weather in california and snow pack. Nevada's going to be the place for alot of riding befor it heats up out there.
