Beer, especially in quantity, is perhaps the number one cause of belt failures.

I have seen you ride. Recommended maintenance schedules would need to be adjusted by an "Angelo Coefficient" or AC. I would suggest an AC of .487.
That is better than the "Scott Coefficient" of .001.

I hard wired mine too on the quad and now on the scooter. Make sure it's not a keyed hot. Otherwise everytime you turn the bike on you have to remember to turn the GPS back on.

What do you guys do for goggles etc in the rain? Just wipe um off with your hands/ jacket? I end up tucking a bandana / rag in my neck under my jacket and coming to a full stop and dry off / wipe. It sounds like this year's Fordyce run was a kinder gentler version as compared to last year's. Last year was a race. Any request for assistance or a rope was greeted with a chorus that referred to female genitalia.
