And of course......no helmet. He's lucky it was sand. That could have been very bad otherwise. I'd say he got off easy.

Last still shot - EPIC!!

Well that's pretty cool. That will go a very short way in making a tiny dent in what it cost to actually participate in the race. :)

It's about the prestige though huh??

Re: Better wire splices

I use the marine heat shrink tubing on just about everything. Has a "glue" on the inside, so not only does it shrink around the wire, but the adhesive gets tacky and sticks to the wire sealing out water. Works great. Harbor Freight sells it too, in those multi pack kits.

Re: King Of The Hammers - 2013

You have options for that heim, but it would require some metal work. Cutting that one out or ordering a set of arms with NO heim so you could use your own. Johnny joint comes to mind from the Jeep world. Personally, I would go chrome moly if the heim bolt broke. Obviously that is fatigued metal and...

Sporty?? Uh Dave, did you make a trip up to WA to get some of that legal weed last night?? That is not the adjective I would use to describe what that ride would be like....

Re: Fabricator Needed For Willy's Wagon Project!

Damn Dave, if only this had been a couple of years ago, I would have jumped all over it. I built an '86 CJ (twice!) and then moved to a '66 Nova. I have done everything you're talking about, but sadly, no longer have a nice enough place to do it. (divorce sucks) If you need any help figuring out wha...

Re: First Our Trails, Now Our Guns?

You kids have it way too easy. My dad taught me to reload when I was 8 years old and back then it was just single-stage presses and manual beam scales. My dad made our powder funnel out of a pipe part (as in the smoking kind), some cardboard from a TV dinner box and masking tape. The primer pocket ...

When we stopped at the pavement to discover our missing tire, he had stopped in his Tacoma on the side of the road. I recognized him and just kinda nodded. Didn't put him together with the tuna boat.

We're here, in the campground. Site #3 which is across from the bathroom and one of the first sites you come to on the right.

Re: 7th Annual Mr. Miyagi Ride - Sept 14,15,16 2012

Well, I plan on trying to get out of town by about 3. We may be the first ones up. Ken and I have talked - I'm going to first check if there's a host at the campground, if not, we'll camp there. If there is, I'll see if I can work a deal on the charge. If that fails, I will probably go setup at the ...
