If your replacement rims are going to be non-stock, then you might want to keep an eye on the offset specs. Some folks on ATVUtah reported ending up wider than 50" with some rim/quad combinations. Out in that great stuff you ride it's all about being under 50", right? :) http://grizzlyguy.smugmug.co...

He didn't ROLL there! :) If I did...I'd have a god damn picture! Dohhhhh!! You're right. Larry rolled so many times that I guess I lost track of the when and where. All I can say is Thank Gosh he was out front. Had you stuck me out on point you'd have had about a dozen shots of a rolled...

I thought I had "Roll Protection", I should have realized I was screwed when he yelled stop and took a picture with one hand on the rope and a camera in the other one. LOL... In my defense...I didn't have the camera in my hand..it was in my case. The rope was attached in the center of the quad...an...

I was telling a riding buddy up in Bend, OR that the trailhead in Plumas NF is only about 4.5 hours from his house (a SWAG based on how long it takes us to drive to Lakeview to go hang gliding). So I'm thinking it should only be about 3.5 - 4 hours for you, Junfan. :)

Video - Trail to Snake Lake

Here is a multi-cam video shot on the trail from Gold Valley to Snake Lake on the day that fire restrictions ended (Wednesday). Really nice country, fun trail. Unfortunately, my prior set of tapes had run out when I rode the harder lower section, so no video of that. Music by the master of sy...

The building is a monster. Worse yet, it is at the Boomtown exit where we usually stop for gas on the way back from Reno. No need to worry about the casinos cleaning out my wallet, this store will do the job just fine.

Not sure I would mention firearms and alcohol at the same time. unless it helps you to steady your aim. In a worst case situation where a predatory bear had to be my target (because he was on his way over to eat me)… then yup, that alcohol would steady my aim. Or at least keep me from running like ...

We usually bring our 31' RV with one hell of a blender and plenty of ice and mixing material! :D Uh-oh, did you just use the "B" word (blender)? See here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zlantsb97jU That's OK, I'll still bring plenty of extra Tequila in case we run into you. :) We're actually ...

No, unfortunately I missed going to Little Deer Lake. I passed the turnoff to it on the way up to Snake Lake, made a mental note to check out that trail on the way down, then completely spaced it. :(

What plan and what are they going to do to the road?

Video - Ride Armed!!

While sitting around the campfire midway through my Gold Valley ride , sipping margaritas and waiting for it to get dark, I decided to make a few public service announcements. Here is one of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNNNaNY7FUM  Or if you prefer a downloadable QuickTime version, us...

Ah yes, the promised land. We're supposed to be out there for a week of riding/camping beginning Oct 6th, but the weather has me worried. It's snowing here right now (again) so you should be getting it tomorrow evening. :? Is it just me, or is trail 76 not a really pretty and fun alternative to ridi...
