Re: Chain Saws?

I use a husky for wood cutting and echos for juggling. I find echos to be well balanced providing a consistent rotation. If any of you ATVObsession regulars ever need/want pine firewood lemme know. I have access to lots. Yeah, I know it's not oak, madrone, or one of the snobby firewoods, but it burn...

Re: American Hill

Very cool. Old mines, equipment, and relics are facinating.

We live a fortunate life to not have to work our a$$es off like they did.

Re: Last Chance and Barney Cavanah

Yeah, I knew you went that way (my reference to two-wheeled quads was for you :-) And I did see the trailer - it's a tiny trommel for washing gravel. The FS notice was to tell the owner that since it was unregistered, it was subject to towing under the CA vehicle code. Nice guys, helping our state!...

Re: Last Chance and Barney Cavanah

I was there last weekend. First time I've been to Last Chance and Pacific Slab Mine. Did you happen to notice the piece of equipment that was in the big barn? Some sort of small mining equipment mounted on wheels with a trailer hitch. It had flat tires and obvioulsy has not been used for years. It h...

Re: June 22 Wentworth Springs Ride

Technically not on WSR, but about 1 mile from where WSR turns east and goes from pavement to dirt.

I would be open to discussions regarding a weekend stay in return for a weekend with a RZR XP. Know anybody with one? =P~

Re: Finally out!

I rode from Foresthill today on the two-wheeled street legal quad. Plan was to ride to Grouse Falls and Last Chance, exit up Cavanaugh Ridge, have lunch at the Duncan Peak Lookout, and head back via Foresthill Road. Made it to the falls and Last Chance, but did not make it to the end of Cavanaugh Ri...

Re: June 22 Wentworth Springs Ride

It helps to have relatives that I can bum off of. I have been riding lots of dirt and backroads on my motorcycles. ...

June 22 Wentworth Springs Ride

Went riding today to check out how the cabin held up to the winter. Usually we're in during April. Still can't get to the cabin in a truck, but luckily we had four quads with us. Wentworth Springs Road has lots of water and it was very hot today. It's always fun to be the first through the water, sp...

That's a b-load of snow.

I'm driving to Death Valley on Saturday via 395. Should be a scenic drive.

Scooters for 5 days in 85+ degree temps!
