Still using oil, regardless of air filter and oil change. The extended warranty will not pay for any kind of preventative measures. Basically, I'll have to launch the engine before they will take care of it. I was also debating on whether or not to start using Mobil 1 0w-40 instead of the goofy 2w-5...

On my 400 (same basic engine design) I only drained from the reservoir. That other one is just a pain in the ass and you really don't get a whole lot out for all the trouble it is.

I assume the 500s still use the big 'ole aluminum reservoir? My 400 was a 2001.

If you jump alot, it can wreak havoc on the belt, especially if you leave off the throttle. The engine brake is grabbing as you hit the ground...not to hard to imagine what goes on in there!

No, I don't use slime. There are others in our group that have the same set up also, just different machines. I just don't think any tire should HAVE to have slime to keep it on the rim!

But thanks anyways :)

I think it's going to be one of those times where we never will get to the bottom of it. Been talking back and forth with the rep. from Maxxis and he is asking all kinds of questions to make sure he has all the info he needs to dig deeper into it. At least he seems genuinely concerned. For now I am ...

I know, Ken. It just seems that I am the only one! I know you guys run yours at a lower pressure with no problems.

I am giving up on ITP Customer service. The guy I got just flat out refuses to believe that it MAY be their rims. Not saying it is, just that it could be.

Front Tires Flat... AGAIN

Getting fed up with these front tires. Bighorns on the ITP ss106 rims. I am now on my fifth time where I am out riding only to end up with a flat front tire. They are taking turns doing, too! Left, right, left, right, now the left AGAIN! I ride, everything is fine, then the steering gets hard...oh, mus...

Recent outings video-Pa, of course!

I am starting to enjoy this video stuff! Our friend Brad, who you may remember in past photos, rolled his Can-Am. So he bought the Kawi and has had it for little while. Well, it just didn't live up to a Can-Am, so now our bud Rob has the Kawi and Brad is back on a CanAm! http://www.youtube.com/watch...
