same motor, same gear ratio, difference is the plastic gear case on the 2.5 vs. the all metal gear case on the 3.0, and this is an issue, I have replaced the case on both of my 2.5 warns twice on the rear, three times on the front, Montana Jacks has got to be getting tired of me ordering the same 21...

one of my best friends has been to all of the Polaris tech schools, he says that the 0w40 is the only weight oil to run in my atv, due to the oil galleys and flow to some of the bearing and seal areas, any heavier oil and it can get starved for oil.... just the info he gave me.

that is on a 6500 acre recreational park, read that as privately owned, the nature nazis only have hold on the streams.....but we still cross and such.....great fun, many varied surfaces to ride on from mud to sand to rocks.....huge trail system.

BTW it is IMPOSSIBLE to clean all the hiding places.

I not only went through the mud, I hooked up a strap and pulled him through the same hole......he was on the brakes trying to stop me.... :twisted:

I have a pic somewhere of it.....I'll try and find it.

that thing "sounds"great......but I just dont have any faith in the Yamy atvs.......every time I go riding, there are 2 of my buddys that have them, and I end up working on them EVERY ride.....someone needs to slap the yamy engineers that thought up the airbox on a KodiYAK.....

Yes I have pull started it, my 12 year old can pull start it as well.....It starts very quickly.

I love my MV7.........and yes it is a friggin tank. I STRONGLY recommend replacing the rear hub to a-arm bolts with grade 8 hardware.....this is the only thing I have broken, as in 3 times....the last time it was a front side one, and with the weight and sping rate, it ripped the a-arm in half.........
