Re: Hello...

Hey there! Saw this awhile back but was at work and forgot to reply later. Hope you're doing well also. I think everyone has gone to FB, I miss the board and the different topic discussions. Looking forward to the annual get together - saw part of the crowd last time, but only on Friday. This year I...

Re: No More Contour Cams

Kinda funny - a few years later the fortune tides have turned on GoPro, putting them into a struggle with other manufacturers coming into the picture and their all-in-one drone not doing very well.

Yeah, I'm just not ready for the Rubicon. But it's cool seeing the area.

Barker Pass area

I had the opportunity to ride over on the Tahoe side of things. I decided to go to the Blackwood Canyon staging for a ride up to Barker Pass. I bet this place is pretty busy in the summer - lots of room. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x5/grizzly55/Ride%20scenery/Barker%20Pass/P9290728_zpsmg4md6p...

Miiyagi 2016

Hope someone else has some pix! I had fun sitting around chatting with Will, Dave, John, Eugene and Scott on Friday, and we went for a little ride to see how far down the road goes from Meadow Lake dam. It was a fun little trail - I'm actually starting to like the rock thing (gasp!). Wished I could ...

Sounds like it might be adventure day on Friday - crawling or touring?

Re: Upgraded finally

It seems like everyone has gone off to Facebook or different activities, or some have departed this world. For me, honestly, I don't invest the time in posting pix because it takes a bit of time and nobody else is posting. Plus, I'm hitting areas that I've well-covered before so not need for same ol...

Keepin' it in the family - trailer tires

Not much talk here about trailer tires. Having gone to a side by side and doubling what I used to regularly carry on the trailer, my 9 year old Goodyear Marathons were in the age bracket that says - replace me. Generally, travel trailers recommend replacement at 7 years. A blowout could be catastrop...

Cheap off roading sunglasses!

Quite awhile ago I was on a ride and the sunlight was fading and being cloudy, wearing sunglasses wasn't cutting it. Taking them off, I was getting hit with bugs and stuff. It made me think about bringing along a pair of clear safety glasses in the bag for those times. When it came time to get some ...

Re: Rockin' Cottonwood Canyon and Bear Valley

Yikes, that's a rough one! I plan to check it out next time. That vid did not make it look easy to me though (no surprise). Despite the wide angle view, it still looked steep to me - the angle of the people at the top tells the tale! No chance I'll be on that, probably not even downhill! Thanks for ...

Re: Rockin' Cottonwood Canyon and Bear Valley

I don't know it well, but there's Ball Pein (near BV09 on the map) - if you're following the correct direction, it's a keep right (signed diffficult) deal. Also, between BV09 and RCKGRD (Rock Garden) Eric waymarked a winch hill which also was a diffcult/easy route choice (of course, you know which o...

Re: Wolverine - old name, new machine!

I gotta say, I am totally impressed now. Went riding around Cottonwood Road and Bear Valley OHV over the weekend and had a blast. But what I was impressed with is the competency with which this thing controls and climbs. I got onto one of the trails - Grizzly Guy introduced me to a little bit of thi...
