Welp, I won't be making it to this ride. The moron on eBay that sold me the front storage box for my XP required signature confirmation. So, after waiting three days before shipping it, then UPS rescheduling delivery from yesterday (when I was home) to today, it won't be coming in time for the trip...

Other than all the good folks here @ atvobsession, I found IntrepidExlporers to be the best Nevada specific riding site bar none. While there have been some changes recently - the people are great, the information is helpful and the site is busy with current information.

A bit on the pricey side - $339.00 It is not cheap I will give you that. But you get what you pay for and it is a high quality light. Nothing else being offered has this kind of light output and efficiency. For me, having more light on night rides is a huge improvement in safety. You can easily out...

LED vs.PIAA HS1

The light is stand alone and easily installed. I purchased from Larry at www.offroadobsession.com after our Tonopah ride this year. Having seen it in action I was sold. This light negates the need to use your headlights. At 1920 lumens, 2 amps and 23 watts, it's amazing technology. The garage shots ...

That "cable thingy" in the attachment point for the North side of cable point. They used to haul lumber across it that had been milled at Pino Grande to the Camino side, then off to the valley. The hotel was called Deer View lodge. It was never really used and burned down shortly after being built. ...

It will certainly pain Oldtrucks to hear this but, I agree with him. As long as the 2.0 version has the same durability as the 1.0 they will be a great tire. I went with 25" as the 2.0 had just come out were untested and backordered.

The 26x9x12 rear will not help to get back your top end, it's gone with a 26" tire. You will need clutch work to get back that OEM feeling. Glad to hear you went to a 9" front. I truly believe you will be much happier.

Sorry to hear that. The 26X12X12on all fours is a lot of weight and width. I am very happy with the 25X8X12 fronts and 25X10x12 rears. They provide a bit more GC, are not too heavy and if mounted to OEM wheels are at stock width. Best of luck.

Great choice on tires I agree. But 26X12X12 on the front? Are you sure that's what you ordered? If so, I personally think you might want to re-evaluate. With the aftermarket wheels adding offfset and a 12" front tire you have your work cut out for you in the steering department, as well as t...

That's good to know and does make all the difference. I still have concern for the mindset of the many who use the public trails. Thanks for clearing up the land use.

And we wonder why the off-road community is under assault! Speed does not equal skill. Any fool can point a vehicle at a rock and hit it hard enough to get over it. Then when he is done, the rock is closed to further use for all because of his actions......

Just my opinion.

I have for the most part, given up on riding on the National Forest. I am and will always be a supporter of it being accessible to all to use. Sadly the sheer volume of users has set in motion the strict standards we see today. As for more power, my type of riding ( the Nevada desert ) does lend its...

That's the only one. I can't afford to own more than one the way I buy and sell. While most people in my shoes can't admit they have a problem, I can say without hesitation I am one screwed up individual. This whole quad thing is worse than owning Jeeps for me. The only positive note is that they ar...
